Heads-up: this walkthrough is narrated in German — it was recorded on our German site and on an earlier release. The written steps below are current and cover everything the video does.
Before you start, update Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and macOS to their latest versions.

Open the purchase email
Your licence key is in that email — the download link for the app sits right underneath.

Install & activate
Drag the app into your Applications folder, launch it and enter your licence key. The very first launch takes a moment to load, once.

Connect Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
In Premiere, go to Window → Extensions → AMBOSS — then watch for the status to read "Verbunden" (German for "connected"). In DaVinci Resolve Studio, AMBOSS connects by itself as soon as Resolve is running with a project. In the free version, open Workspace → Scripts → AMBOSS (restart Resolve once the very first time) and keep the small AMBOSS window open. The free version needs Python 3 from python.org (installed for all users).
